AffiniPure is Jackson ImmunoResearch’s mark of quality. It means Excellence, Trust, and Reliability.
For print and digital ads I chose to center fluorescent microscopy images that can be created with AffiniPure antibodies. I was tasked with coming up with two custom illustrated designs for t-shirts that would start conversations and facilitate lead generation at scientific exhibitions. For the illustrations I chose to draw two different alpacas as scientists, because the specialized VHH antibodies that Jackson ImmunoResearch produces are derived from alpacas. Both of the designs were well received, and the t-shirts disappeared almost as fast as we could print them.
Four additional logos were created to represent each segment of Jackson ImmunoResearch’s product portfolio. AffiniPure-VHH for the highly specific and very small VHH antibodies for high resolution fluorescent microscopy. Affini-Dx for diagnostics specific products. AffiniPure Anti-GFP for GFP related products. And Affini-Essentials for scientists and researchers who are just getting started.
Logo Design Process
To design the logo I started by identifying interesting shapes and relationships by sketching out some ideas on paper. I refined those moments into three concepts.
Once a concept was selected I refined it further to incorporate some of the interesting elements from the rejected concepts.
A final design was then further refined and produced.
